SPY+ Optic Rejoins Mike Marsal Racing for 2024 Season

NEW YORK (16 March 2024) – Spy+ Optic will be onboard the No. 236 Spec Trophy Truck for its fourth consecutive season with Mike Marsal Racing in the 2024 SCORE International Off-Road Racing season.

The fabled eyewear company first joined Mike Marsal in his off-road racing efforts in 2021 where the duo broke out in the Baja 400 and Baja 1000 events. Since then Spy+ Optics has ridden with Marsal for eight additional SCORE races with a high finish of fourth at the 2023 K&N SCORE Baja 400 presented by VP Racing.

Spy+ Optic and Mike Marsal Racing will be teaming up with Evan Weller Racing (EWR) and Grabowski Brothers Racing (GBR) for the second season. EWR preps the Brenthel Industries trophy truck spec for Marsal and provides race support and logistics for the team.

Grabowski Brothers Racing offers additional trackside support, and also provides Marsal co-drivers Troy Grabowski and Jack Grabowski. The trio teamed up for the 2023 BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 1000 presented by K&N, ending the race with the third fastest finishing time in the trophy truck spec category. The longest Baja 1000 race in history was a hard fought battle as the team ran in second place but suffered a steering failure just ten miles from the finish. But the MMR squad hustled to make the repairs needed to get the truck back on track and up to speed, allowing the MMR squad to come home third despite the late race drama.

Marsal will be reunited with his navigator Hudson Hall for the duo’s third full SCORE season.

In addition to Spy+ Optics coming on board for the 2024 SCORE season the team will also be backed by Tremrr Wheels, Baja Designs andMaxima USA. Tremrr Wheels is a company that designs wheels specifically for off-road adventures focusing on next generation designs. Maxima USA specializes in racing oil needs. Baja designs is the industry’s scientist of lighting, providing the best possible lighting for all of the MMR races.

“I’m beyond excited to have Spy+ Optics back on board this season,” said Marsal. “The Spy+ Optic brand has always lined up with our mission of adventurous lifestyle. I’m also excited to welcome back Tremrr and Baja Designs who were with us last year in the 2023 season and add Maxima USA to our team. Last year we were in the running for a championship until the last race, and this year we are making it our goal to win it. I know the team is ready to get out there and get this season started!”

The Mike Marsal Racing team will start off the SCORE season in San Felipe on the Baja California peninsula March 20-24th.
